Three summers ago I had a wonderful time painting murals for Tijelas Açaí Café in Nampa, Idaho. If you are a fan of futbol, you will recognize these Brazilian stars. Each one of them took around a couple hours to work up a close likeness. I am usually more comfortable drawing on paper and doing close up detailed work, but in a larger format it became more and more intuitive and conducive to hitting that flow state (getting lost in the project and losing all sense of time). There was no redrawing on the wall but I used a hand help iPad to keep reference.
